Are You Prepared For The Unknown?

Regardless of your background, gender, race, or age… everyone should be prepared for a crisis situation.  Whether it’s a major disaster or a temporary emergency, readiness could mean the difference between life and death.

You don’t have to be a dedicated survival prepper to be in a state of readiness.  From soccer moms to wall street executives to retired grandparents, we’re all just people living our lives and enjoying our families.  Should something happen to disrupt our lives, we all need to play a part in effectively taking care of ourselves, our families, and our neighbors.  If we all do that, we all will survive and thrive together.

You may or may not be aware of the term “prepper”.  It’s not a term used to describe some weirdos playing survival games in the woods.  Most preppers are normal everyday people that you meet in the grocery store.  They also include people that are in power and see what is happening within our government agencies and other organizations around the world.  This has caused them to be alarmed at how fragile our society really is right now.  They are preppers too, and they are also getting prepared for the unknown.

This is the best time to be alive in the history of the world.  Yet, our comforts of life can be deceiving when you consider the grand scheme of our world and historical events. It doesn’t take much for things to fall apart… and quickly.  Our world is changing and is becoming more unpredictable, but I’m not even just talking about major disasters or end of world scenarios here.

Just look at what happened to the world after major events such as 9/11, the 2008 financial crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic.  We take our comfortable lives for granted and this causes us to be vulnerable.

Best Survival Prepper - Empty shelf in grocery store

Think about what would happen if your city lost power for an extended amount of time.  What would happen if the grocery store shelves went bare and/or the water supply was limited or tainted in some way?  How many of your neighbors even know how to start a fire, dress a wound, or survive even a few days in the wilderness or on the streets?  How about you?

It’s not a case of having to “like” survival prepping, although many do it because they really enjoy the skills and knowledge they gain.  For some, it’s a responsibility to protect the right to pursue the freedom of life, liberty, and happiness.  Some do it because they feel it’s their job as the protectors of their family, neighbors, and community.

In any case, being a survival prepper brings peace of mind knowing that you are ready and prepared for the unknown.  Knowing that you are not going to be a helpless victim.  Knowing that you are going to be a responsible and valuable member of society, your community, your neighborhood, and your family.

If something happens, even a few hundred dollars of emergency preparedness supplies can help you and your family get through unfortunate events that may occur.  You can start with the basics and build from there.  After all, we all learned from the COVID-19 disaster just how important something as simple as toilet paper is in our lives.

Get ready, be prepared, be the Best Survival Prepper.
